Fast Cars and Freedom

So, lately I haven't been the perfect friend. I some times feel sorry for myself, cry when I can't find something I need, and tend to be too wrapped up in the "poor me" stage to worry about other friends.

Well, tonight that changes. I've decided that my life can't be spent doing the "poor me" thing. Yes, I am allowed to have bad days and days that I wish I didn't have to get out of bed. BUT (and this is a big but..hahah) I can not and will not allow myself to not be there for my friends when they need me.

I did some grocery shopping tonight and that made me feel better since I got some much needed things in the apartment (like milk, eggs, ice cream--you know, the basics!) Then I had a late dinner and am just winding down for the night. I've had some flu like stuff going on the past two days and am getting pretty sick of that. I can't go to internship when I'm sick since I work in a hospital so it's all a little much.

Anyway, this weekend I start my 5 week Saturday class. I can't say I'm thrilled about this but I'm hoping it goes by fast. And I can tell you now that Sunday I will be doing NOTHING to make up for having to have school on Saturday :)

Happy Thursday everyone!

true friends will know when you need some "poor me" time and understand, but it's good to focus on other things, it'll make YOU feel better. :)

Feel better soon.

I've spent a little time in the "poor me" phase off and on for the last 10 years. My friends are like...shut UP! ;-)

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you've been feeling under the weather. I don't blame you for not doing anything on Sunday, I'd be the same way.

It is important to be there for your friends, but be careful about the amount you have to give right now.

Nobody is ever the perfect friend. No worries. You have the right to have your sad times but it is good to recognize that your friends need you too. =) Focusing on something outside of yourself will help YOU too!

Don't be too hard on yourself, just let your friends know that you've realized that you haven't been there but you don't want to do that again.

I hope that you have a good sunday!
